Thanksgiving is the one meal everyone expects to be perfect, and the one that leaves the host the least time to enjoy it.
The turkey goes in before sunrise. The oven is booked for six hours. Someone is still peeling sweet potatoes when the first guests walk in. By the time everyone sits down, the person who made it all happen is too tired to taste it.
More families are deciding they would rather be at the table. Last year, more than half of Americans said they planned to get Thanksgiving dinner to go, up from about a third two years earlier, and most of them said the reason was simple: they wanted to enjoy the holiday instead of cooking it.
That is exactly what our Thanksgiving is built for.
A complete Thanksgiving from Chef Marlene's kitchen
Every dinner is cooked to order in the Knife & Faulk kitchen in Dallas, the same kitchen where Chef Marlene Faulkner and our team cook for weddings, galas and dinners at private estates across North Texas. It is ready on Wednesday, November 25, so Thursday is yours.
You choose the main. Everything else comes with it.
Dry Brined Herb Roasted Turkey Breast, $48 per person. The classic, dry brined and roasted with herbs.
Chipotle Bourbon Glazed Carving Ham, $40 per person. Sweet, smoky and made for second helpings.
Garlic and Herb Beef Tenderloin, $58 per person. For the table that wants something a little more special this year.
Hasselback Butternut Squash, $28 per person. Our vegetarian main, roasted until the edges caramelize.
Every main comes with the holiday table
Your first main includes all six sides, so you are never piecing a dinner together:
- Braised kale and collard green medley
- Sweet potato casserole with orange pecan streusel
- Herb cornbread and baguette dressing
- Three cheese macaroni and cheese
- Cranberry citrus chutney
- Fresh baked rolls with herb compound butter
Hosting a crowd with different tastes? Add a second or third main, priced from $8 to $33 per person, and the sides stay the same.
Make it a full day
Thanksgiving is rarely just one meal, so we made it easy to cover the rest of the day.
Hors d'oeuvres trays start at $14 per person for three selections and arrive ready to set out. Favorites include Mini Beef Wellington with truffle cream, Mini Roast Turkey and Brie cocktail sandwiches with cranberry orange marmalade, and Walnut, Sage and Cranberry Stuffed Mushrooms. Vegetarian and gluten-free selections are marked on the menu.
Grazing displays run from $13 to $20 per person. Our Charcuterie and Antipasti display travels on its own board and needs nothing done to it when you get home.
A hot cocoa bar with marshmallows, chocolate syrup, whipped cream, candy canes and dipping cookies, for the part of the evening when the kids (and most of the adults) are done with dinner.
How ordering works
Ordering takes a few minutes on our Thanksgiving page.
- Tell us how many people you are feeding. Everything is priced per person, so your total updates as you build.
- Choose your main and any extras. Add hors d'oeuvres, a grazing display or drinks if you want them.
- Pick it up or have it delivered. Pickup is free at our kitchen on Wednesday, November 25, between 11:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. Delivery anywhere we run in Dallas and Fort Worth is a flat $75, and we call you to agree on a window.
There is no service charge on a Thanksgiving order. Everything is packed to travel, with reheating instructions in the bag, so the meal tastes like it came straight out of the oven on Thursday.
Order by Friday, November 20
We shop and prep against a final count, so online ordering closes Friday, November 20. Orders can be cancelled for a full refund through Wednesday, November 18. If you are past the deadline, call us at 214.749.0299 and we will tell you what we can still do.
